Okay if you don’t have pets
Had the pet series from Costco originally but after years the side brush stopped working. I figured the basic model would be okay as I never used the schedule function anyways. It does not suck nearly as good as the old one and doesn’t clean nearly as long. Only 30-45 min where my old one goes for well over an hour. Still okay but if I could do it again I’d spend the extra for the higher suction model. If I didn’t have pets and kids it would probably be more than sufficient.

Good purchase
There are so many choices how do you pick? Well we went with this one. Someone, somewhere said it might be good for pets and at least it wasn’t $1000. It works pretty good. It moves over small lips pretty good and navigates around the ktichen table pretty good but for some reason the winter floor mat is it’s arch nemesis. It gets up and over and into the tray but can’t get out. No big deal though, I just make sure to turn my boots at an angle that will block it from climbing up. It also gets tangled in the bathroom floor mat but most other things it navigates pretty well.We have a medium size (hairy) dog, one cat, four kids and I have long hair that sheds everywhere. This is a good choice for regular maintenance of a ‘tidy’ house and do a good clean with your mop, etc later and keeps it from being as tedious. Make sure to empty out the tray daily and if you do have any hairiness in your house, turn it over at least weekly and remove the hair from the brush on the underside.

(7/7/2020)***My husband has offered several times to get me a Roomba…but I really didn’t think they would be worth it, so have always declined.Enter the Roomba 675, which yes, I was offered to review through Amazon’s Vine Program, but that doesn’t mean I have to give a glowing report. I actually passed it by 3 times, before saying, ‘Eh, why not? Since I expect to be unimpressed, I’d be the perfect person to try one out!’Our family immediately named her Hazel, and after several hours of hard work, I have no qualms about keeping her on my payroll.
