While more than 80% of the red chilli powder is made from Kashmiri red chillies, we add a few more unique kinds of chillies for some additional flavor, and texture. The Kashmiri chillies are bred primarily for their red color as well as it’s mild hot flavor.
To increase the shelf life of the chilli powder, we recommend keeping it in a cool and dry place. You can even store it in a refrigerator. However, not in the deep-freezer.
To increase the shelf-life of the chilli powder for more than 1 year, we highly recommend NOT to directly touch the powder in the packet with bare hands. Use a spoon to take it off. This increases the life of not just the chilli powder, but all Indian spices.
